compensation: No pay when we start, but eventual paying gigs if band forms and we are solid. Have club & radio station contacts.
Seasoned rhythm/lead guitarist with many years of club, concert, touring, studio and support act experience. Now living in Nashville and desire to put together (or join an already established unit) group of players who love to play roots-style rock. You know, rock with a little blues, folk, country & bluegrass all mixed in. There IS an audience for it and I feel there isn't as much as I would like to hear. Have original music writing experience as well, and am a good arranger and co-writer. Not strong enough to carry a band with my writing but a good collaborator!

Here's a short list of influences and if you tune in 89.5 WDOT-FM you'll get a better sense of some of my influences: CCR, Allman Bros, Ry Cooder, Dylan, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Steve Earle, CSNY, Springsteen, Little Feat, Counting Crows, Warren Haynes, The Band, Neil Young, Lucinda Williams, BoDeans, Bob Seger, Avett Brothers, Grace Potter, Doobie Bros, Los Lobos, Webb Wilder, etc...

Male/female players and singers alike - need drums, a second guitar, keys, vocals, and other instrumentation if someone plays fiddle, banjo, mandolin etc. This is music I feel strongly about putting together something live audiences would really enjoy, especially if it was well done. Not sure of the exact logistics to orchestrate this but have a game plan, but I have put together several bands in my past career and know how to organize the preliminaries to see if we have any chemistry.

Thoughts, comments? I am easy to work with and have 4-6 mics, cables, my amps/guitars, and a small practice spot to get the ball rolling. After that we will need a dedicated practice place. Want to eventually record demos for gigs. Hit me up, roots rockers!
