WATERJET CNC Page:

Waterjet Cutting Systems are the world’s most versatile machine tools and a leader in manufacturing for the accuracy, speed and flexibility. A highly pressurized jet-stream of water, combined with abrasive material allows a water jet to cut nearly any material. Complicated and simple shapes alike, we cut products for all industries.

Waterjet Cutting
• Flow Integrated Floating Bridge
• 94,000psi Hyperjet
• Dynamic Water Jet Cutting Head
• Ultra Pierce Technology
• Travels: 236" x 95” (19 feet by 7.5 feet)
Capabilities: Flow Waterjets enable us to cut a variety of applications with ease.
• Material thickness from 1/16 inch (1 mm) to over 8 inches (200 mm) thick into any shape in a single step.
• With water only, the water jet can rapidly cut soft materials such as plastic, rubber, cork, and foam.
• With abrasive, our Waterjet can cut hard materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and stone with no heat-affected zone and superior edge quality.
• Utilizing ultra-pierce technology Waterjet can cut brittle materials including glass, laminated glass, G10, Kevlar, ceramics, and composites without de-lamination. We can put very small holes in these brittle materials which is not possible with standard Waterjets.
Benefits to you:
Our 94,000 psi, water jet with Dynamic cutting head, and Ultra Pierce Technology only available from Flow give us an advantage in speed and quality that we can pass on to you.
• 20-30% lower part cost than 60,000 psi systems
• Increased speeds that are 20-30% faster than 60,000 psi
• Increased power, density, and jet efficiency
• 40% higher velocity
• Lower abrasive consumption by 30-50% les abrasive than 60,000 psi
• Dynamic Water jet virtually eliminates taper; taper is < 1 degree in straight-line geometry
• Active Tolerance Control produces more accurate parts at significantly higher cutting speeds than parts cut with a conventional water jet
• Tolerance is +/- .003 on some materials which can reduce or even eliminate machining
The cool-cutting process of Flow abrasive jet systems enables us to increase throughput by stacking raw materials and cutting multiple parts in a single pass.

Different jobs don’t require different tooling. With waterjet technology, cutting is accomplished by software-controlled, robotic motion systems - not hard tooling - so there are simply no costly, time-consuming tool changes required to accommodate and infinite variety of shape cutting.

We can handle your project from start to finish. Because side forces are virtually non-existent when cutting with a Flow abrasive jet, the time required for setup and fixturing is minimal. So, we can move quickly from job to job - cut 1/2 inch aluminum in the morning, 2 inch glass in the afternoon, and 6 inch stainless steel in the evening.

Eliminate costly secondary finishing. From steel to composites, cut net and neat-net parts. Abrasivejets cut with erosion, rather than shearing or heat, so they produce an exceptional edge finish without inducing heat-affected zones or mechanical stresses. Ray materials maintain their structural integrity and demurring and other secondary finishes are usually not required.

Saving raw material costs. Because abrasive jets cut with a narrow kerf and produce no heat, you can tightly nest parts to get the most from raw materials.

Why Use Waterjet Cutting? (Art, commercial, parts to be welded, etc.)
• No heat, warping, or material discoloration.
• Capable of cutting complex & difficult shapes.
• Cut materials that lasers can not.
• Smooth finish with very little burr.
• No material limitations. Cut just about any material.
• No costly dies or fixtures required.
• Easily cut materials as soft as foam or hard as rock.
• No thermal stress put on material. Excellent for aerospace materials.
• Cleaner cutting alternative to plasma cutting and flame cutting.
• Time reduction compare to other cutting methods. Materials can be stacked and cut.
• Can cut materials as thick as 12 inches.
• Faster parts turn-around.

Sample of materials we can cut: Titanium, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Carbon Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Copper, Armor Plate, Plastic, Phenolic, Acrylic, Ceramic, Silicone, Kevlar, Granite, Rubber, Glass & Laminates. From glass stones to composites and metal, nothing cuts a greater variety of materials then an abrasives. Water jet cutting versatility is unmatched.

POWDER COAT:

Cut Spark is dedicated to providing superior coatings for nearly any surface, including metals, glass and other items. Powder coating was developed in the 1960s as a paint alternative that has proven to be more durable and cost effective. Powder coating consists of using an electrically charged, colored powder made up of fine pigment and resin that is sprayed onto the desired object. The object is then heat cured causing the electrically charged particles to adhere to the surface of the item, which is electrically grounded, creating an extremely durable, yet great looking finish. Powder coating is a great way to refinish and protect a variety of household items as it is environmentally friendly, unlike most spray paints.

Powder coating is available in a wide variety of colors and can be applied to nearly any hard surface to protect it against wear and tear, including weather damage, heat, cold, grime, scratching, corrosion, bleaching, rust and more. No matter what you’re trying to protect, or what you’re trying to protect it from, the professional team at Cut Spark will be able to help you finish your project off just right with a beautiful finish that will last 20 years or more!

Powder coating has fast become a popular option for refinishing items such as: signage, for your parts, arts, furniture, most of our waterjet cut products, bicycle frames, light fixtures, metal doors & frames, car rims, wheels, car trim, interior furniture, exterior furniture, fencing, most anything metal.
