This thing absolutely RIPS! Cleans up incredibly well with volume roll-off and the extra modes add tons of versatility. Mint condition with original box!
The Voltic Electronic Devices Awkward Mustache is a chameleon of a pedal that channels the spirit of 90s alt-rock greats like Smashing Pumpkins, unleashing a wall of blown-out fuzz one minute, while having the ability to dial back to a crisp, tight overdrive the next. Unprecedented string separation and a Fuzz knob that ranges from clean boost to face-melting distortion, your tone will be as dynamic as your playing. Finally, thanks to the Super and Defeat modes, finding your signature sound is easy - perfect for studio rats tracking guitars for hours on end. From 90s shoegaze to modern post-hardcore, find your fuzztone with Awkward Mustache.
What is Super mode?
Super mode inserts two matched hard-clipping Germanium diodes before Awkward Mustache's final gain stage. These diodes provide a substantial rolloff of bass and treble frequencies, and, at higher "fuzz" settings introduce a complex enveloping clipping texture.
What is Defeat mode?
Defeat mode bypasses Awkward Mustache's tone control; this control, though a signature part of the "Muff" sound, has an inherent mid scoop that can cause musicians to feel lost in the mix. Bypassing the tone control provides a rawer sound, as well as a boost to both midrange frequencies and overall volume.
