This 1939 00-18 is from one of the most special years for Martin! Here’s the demo video:

This 00-18 features an Adirondack spruce top, scalloped X-braces, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and it was built after the transition from 1 ¾” to 1 11/16” for the nut width. It has a huge, sweet voice with a depth that belies its size. The old Martin Adirondack-mahogany tonewood combination sparkles like nothing else out there, and because this particular guitar has seen some mileage, it exhibits that sound quality with an extra degree of “airiness” that only 80+ years of playtime can impart!
The guitar is fresh off a neck reset by one of my favorite luthiers, Jack Dillen. Jack also reglued a few back braces. The finish and pickguard are original, while the tuners are Grovers from the ‘50s. Several top and side cracks have been glued and the bridgeplate replaced (with a period-correct piece of maple). There is considerable finish wear and lacquer checking, in addition to numerous dings and scratches across the surface, both on the body and the neck.
The guitar was recently appraised by Music City Vintage Guitars here in Nashville for $16,500. Price reduced to $12,000. Comes in a non-original black thermoplastic hardshell case.
