These are bundles of Professionally Kiln Dried White Oak Wood. A very good hardwood with a high BTU!
They are $8 a bundle and are large in size and weight with a minimum of 8 to 10 sticks per bundle which are appr. 16" long.
Great for Home Fireplaces, Stoves or to burn in your Firepit..
Kiln dry vs seasoned wood??
1. Helps kill insects and mold.
2. Holds down on popping due to moisture pockets in the wood.
3. More energy is released as heat instead of evaporating moisture, which means more heat and less smoke.
4. The cleaner burn from dry wood prevents fewer harmful chemicals and particulates being released, making it better for homes and the environment.
5. Holds down on creosote build up vs burning a wood with more moisture.
6. Ready to burn when purchased.
Cost may be more vs seasoned wood initially, but in the long run it may pay for itself with less chimney services and overall health. I also have nice bundles of kindling are $2.50 each.
