The Allante is a two seat convertible roadster and is one the most unique cars in American automotive history. The body was designed and manufactured by Pinanfarina in Italy, then flown on a 747 to Detroit where a massive 295 hp Northstar engine and transmission were installed. The '93 Allante turns heads where ever it goes.
The '93 was the last year of the 7 year production run and considered the finest with major upgrades to the suspension, brakes and motor and is equipped with the most advanced components that GM offered at the time. This well maintained model has four new Bridgestone Potenza tires, new front struts, catalytic converter, rear rotors and brakes. Recently repainted and with new upholstery, all the medallions and insignias are intact. I recently had the torque converter and shift solenoids replaced and upon inspection all other transmission parts were in good shape. Over the last seven years I have replaced many rubber and vinyl parts, an audio speaker, window regulator and switches. This is a great vehicle for someone who enjoys the hobby of auto preservation and in TN the vehicle qualifies as an antique and does not require annual registration or emissions testing. There are several businesses that cater specifically to Allantes and stock many of the original parts as well as being great resources with helpful repair information on the cars. Allantes have plenty of power for the highways and the variable assist steering makes it equally effective at interstate speeds or just cruising , windy back roads. The '93 Allantes turns heads where ever it goes and destined to be a classic.
