I purchased this in Pleasant View, Tn. I acquired it from an estate after the individual passed away. The lady handling the sale call me knowing I was a Kentucky fan. The gentleman was a rabid fan and attended the event where he got this signed. The signatures include All American and future NBA player Frank Ramsey, also future NBA player Lou Tsioropoulos, Bill Bibb, Phil “Cookie” Grawemeyer,, Harold Hurst, Linville Puckett, Hugh Coy, Dan Chandler, Jess Curry and Jerry Bird.
The ball was signed by the members of the 1953-54 Kentucky Wildcats basketball team that were in attendance. Not all signed the basketball. I guess some didn’t attend the event or had passed away.
Truly an awesome piece of UK memorabilia. Would be great to add to any existing collection or for someone beginning one.
