Vinyasa Yoga at West End UMC: Every Monday, 5:30-7:00 pm!
Learn how to practice Vinyasa Yoga in a fun-loving community with an experienced instructor! Join Abigail Redman every Monday from 5:30 - 7:00 pm (not just during the two week period required by the Craigslist advertising format). The cost of class is by donation (with a suggested donation of $10-$20 per class).
Come prepared to breathe deeply, sweat a little (or possibly a lot!), and challenge yourself on the mat, while also learning principles of yogic philosophy that you can carry with you off of your mat and into your everyday life.
This is an energetic style of Yoga, complete with hip and shoulder openers, backbends, arm balances, core work, and inversions. Students of various yogic backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome to join. If you are still learning how to practice Vinyasa Yoga, this class is ideal for you. You do not need to be a perfect yogi to join this class! Yoga is a practice, not a performance, and the community atmosphere at West End means that all students can feel relaxed and welcome. Abigail is a certified yoga instructor with extensive experience teaching students at all levels. Please email Abigail if you have health concerns, injuries, or pre-existing conditions.
Class meets in room 322 on the third floor of the church. Please wear comfortable loose-fitting or stretchy clothes. All props (mats, blankets, blocks, straps, bolsters) are provided. Class is ongoing, not limited to the dates listed above. Drop-ins are welcome. Please email me with any questions.
Please note: Class will not meet on 4/15 or 4/22.
