Beware!!!!! i am a pitbull rescue in antioch and i have not heard anything about them...so if you are thinking of sending your unwanted pitbulls to them ask for vet references...they need to be able to provide the correct living conditions...such as indoor and outdoor kennels...and with them stating you need to take agressive pitbulls to the pound thats a red flag that they are not properly trained to deal with what they could be getting their self into...a dog thats been fought is a risk for sure but look at one of michael vicks dogs...one is a sevice dog...and only one was put down...because these animals can be rehiblitated...so give it a long thought before putting your pets in a situation where they are with people who are not trained to deal with this breed

My mother is an animal lover but she cannot take them all in! People drop off dogs all the time where she lives. This one guy (we are pretty sure we know who he is) dropped off 4 puppies in the middle of nowhere. My mom tried for a week to catch the puppies. One day she found them all huddled together in the woods. She said they were very skinny, and had been eating probably nothing but some crab apples or something because she saw lots of seeds in their waste. She has found homes for all but one. There is another dog who looks just like him (that very well may be related to it) who was dropped off at the same site only a few months ago. My mom was not able to find a home for him either. She told me that she has to find a home for both of them ASAP. We are so broken hearted. What do we do? If anyone were to hurt these dogs we would never recover from it. We need a rescue, but all are at their limit. We need a home for them now :(

I have nursed him to good health and socialized him for a month now and he is now ready to go to a wonderful. There is no rush in moving him as he is not any trouble here but I want to find him the perfect home and I will be SELECTIVE. Ok, not sure why this add was flagged. This is a very cute little guy that we have had in our rescue group for 4 weeks. We had him neutered, checked for heart worms, got his shots up to date, got him groomed and worked on socializing him. He does not have a mean bone in is body. No history of biting, but he does have some fear and will shy away from strangers and do a low growl. Once he gets to know you, his wags his tail constantly and walks around on his hind legs trying to get attention. Very sweet little guy but because of his fear issues, not a good choice for a home with small children.

The adoption fee is a bit higher then we normally put, but only because this is a dog that does need to be groomed every couple of months so we need to make sure anyone adopting him understands that extra expense and can afford it.

So if you are flagging this ad, please let us know why. We really just want him to go to a great home. He is also listed on petfinders.com.

I have a male pit bull that I need to rehome. He's about 5 years old. He's a pretty mature dog. He does like to play with chew toys and rough house occassionally with the man of the house. He is a little older so he does lay around or sleep a lot of the time. He is black with a little white. He has clipped ears. He is a pretty obedient dog. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, turn, speak, and shake. He will even give high fives. He also will go get his leash and bring it to you. He loves to go on walks. He is actually a good dog. The only real problem he has is that he has a bit of a gas problem but I think its more when he eats any type of people food. He may be older but he is a strong dog. I do not have pictures of him to post online but he is a nice looking dog. I have a young son and he's been great with him. He actually sleeps in my sons bed with him every night. He might get up to investigate a noise or something but he goes right back in there. He has been around one smaller dog for a couple days since I've had him and he was pretty good with him. We did keep them separated most of the time... just in case. As far as I know he has been fixed and is up to date on all his shots. I do not have any papers on this dog however. Oh and he occassionally barks... not a lot though and he will probably whine the first couple days that you have him. He did with us but as soon as he knew he could trust us it slowed and finally stopped. I would like him to go to a good home. If you have a fenced yard that would make his day. We live in an apartment and hes done well here but I can tell that he would like to be free more often. Since we have had him he has not been an agressive dog. I do NOT want him going to anyone that has intentions to fight this dog (He wont make you any money. He would lose Im sure). He is a family type dog. I am rehoming this dog because I am late in pregnancy and can not give him the attention that hes needing... like I said he is a strong dog and tends to pull me more than anything. From the suggestion of Craigslist I am going to ask for a rehoming fee of $50 firm esp because of the breed of this dog. He will not be coming with any food. His rubber toys are pretty much torn to pieces so I doubt youd want them. He will come with a leash but I would suggest getting a stronger one than I have for him right now. I will meet only people seriously interrested in a public place in Murfreesboro... maybe Petsmart since you may want to get him a few things if you decide he is right for you. I will keep the option open that if you get him home and he doesnt work out for you that you can either contact me to take him back to rehome him (It may be hard to give the fee back as times are hard and it will most likely go towards bills but if I rehome him a second time he will be free regardless... I not trying to make major $ off this dog) or I will help you rehome him if needed... no questions asked. If hes not for you just dont take him to the pound (we all know what they do to older dogs). He has been a good addition to our family and I wouldve liked to keep it that way but I think he could be more happy elsewhere. ***I know this is a long post but I am serious about rehoming my dog to a good home. I want you to know as much as possible before you take him to yours :)

I just bought a dog that I was told was a bull mastiff. I am not sure if he is or not but he is not the type of dog my husband was looking for so I need to rehome him. Thank you Diane. I know you will give Daisy the wonderful home she deserves. I recently had to quit my job to move in and take care of my dad who has had multiple strokes and has been diagnosised with COPD. I can't take her with me nor do I have the funds to take care of her anymore. Daisy was dumped off near my parents home pregnant a little over a year ago. She is a yellow Lab/Begal mix with a snub tail. I had her spayed and she is UTD on her shots and is heartworm negative. She was a little skittish around loud noises at first but has adjusted and is now very friendly. I found out she is housetrained & obeys verbal commands for the most part. She loves to be outside on a sunny day so a fenced yard or a farm would be best. She is a very quite dog and is very cat friendly and loves kids but is scared of large dogs and kids who play very rough. She loves to play "Conga Line" with you. She will come with a large bag of Chef Michael's dry dog food, her food bowl, her pink harness and her flea treatments. I am unable to upload her pic at this time. Rascal needs a home by tomorrow night or my husband is going to take him to the pound. We are moving and cant afford the pet deposit for the appartment we are moving into. He weighs about 8 pounds and does well with other dogs. He would do best in a home with older children. We have a 4 year old and he tolerates her and has never offered to bite her but its obvious hes irritated by her when she tries to pick him up and play with him. Hes a really smart dog. He will bark and growl if someones tries to come in the yard or knocks on the door but once you let him know they are ok then hes fine and will try to love on them. About a year ago he was attacked by what the vet thinks was a coyote or fox so he does have some scars on his side and back leg but you cant see them because his hair is long and covers them up. When the weather changes or a bad storm is comming in his back leg starts to bother him and the vet said to just give him some baby asprin and it seems to help. He is used to being an indoor dog but will do well outside too. He has not been neutered yet. We bought him when he was 6 weeks from a lady in hendersonville. We paid $250 for him because he was supposedly a pure bred longhaird chihuahua. He came with CKC papers but i have no idea where they are. The vet said that he is a papillon chihuahua mix that the breeder lied. Please call me if you would like to give Rascal a home. Sterilizing cats will make them better pets as well, females will not go into heat (very noisy) and it will prevent males from spraying (very smelly). Besides, there are too many kittens out there that need homes and I want to be sure these kittens do not have the chance to carry on another generation. This kitten showed up at my house a few weeks ago and I have been feeding her. She is very friendly and has never been inside. I am relocating out of state and can not take her. She has been staying in a dog house on the porch with a blanket in it.

Freckles is a Rhodesian Ridgeback / Beagle Mix that is under 2 years old. She was found abandoned on the streets Birmingham Alabama, she was rescued and put into foster care. After about 6 months with no luck finding her that perfect home, Freckles was moved up to the Nashville area to be fostered here.

Freckles is about 40 pounds. She is smart, loves attention and will try her best to crawl up into your lap or just lean her head into your chest to get hugs. She has a lot of energy (not hyper) and will do anything to please.

The reason Freckles has been hard to place is because she is very smart and a high energy. In the right environment, Freckles will be the perfect pet. She has done excellent here in foster care and we are hoping to find her a really good home. If you are interested in freckles, please let us know. Please do not let it go in the woods, yard, or greenway etc. It will not survive.
You can contact rabbit rescues like me . I will take in the rabbits no questions asked.
We are not into breeding nor will we feed to snakes or use for meat.
The rabbits will be spayed or neutered and rehomed with approved adoption application.
Their is no money making in this since my Vet charges a minimum 150.00 for the procedure per rabbit.
I do this out of my own pocket! I have rescued over 10 rabbits with in 2 months.

I have 3 adorable Husky mix pups in shades of fawn & brown still looking for homes. We were told mom was spayed (the vet even though he saw a spay scar!) Guess she wasn't:( She 'gifted' us with 8 sweet babies. (Five have already found homes) This will be her one and only litter.

These guys are very sweet and cuddly but will be big dogs. Mom is a huge 58 lbs Siberian Husky, the suspected father (who was apparently adept at getting in our yard under the fence) was about 35 - 40 lbs spitz type dog (looked and built like an American or Canadian Eskimo Dog but was a rust color, I was recentlt told by way of one of the adopted puppiy's new vet that he was likely an Akita mix since the pup in question has webed feet and that is apparently one of the Akita traits). The puppies were are already as big as adult cats at 7 weeks and about 8lbs. They have been indoor/outdoor dogs to date and we have started working on housebreaking but aren't really making much progress yet since there are still so many. These guys were born on 9/8/2009 so they are just a bit over 8 weeks old. There are 2 boys and 1 girl left.

I require EXCELLENT references or a $100 adoption deposit that is entirely refundable on proof of spay or neuter (if your vet has the ability to accept it and hold it towards spay or neuter that is preferable). I want these guys to have families not end up as bait dogs, lab speciments, snake food or something stupid like that. I will be selective about what homes they go to. Please do not expect to just drop by and take one home. Please tell me a little about yourself, why you want a doggie addition and what you are willing to provide for a new canine friend when you contact me. If you have a vet reference please provide that as well :) (No vet reference will not be grounds for an automatic denial, some people have no vet yet and I understand that.)

1st picture below is of mom (who is NOT up foradoption). The one to the right of mom is a little girl and the bottom two are boys (2 weeks ago only one of the 8 puppies had standing ears. These boys are the last two with floppy ears but on one of the boys it looks like his ears are starting to stand as well. Tucker is a two year old Malti-Poo with a lot of energy. He is fixed, very very sweet and good with children. The owner hopes to find him a loving home with a large house and nice fenced in back yard for him to run off some of his energy.
His shots are up to date and he desperately wants to stop being put in a crate during the day!! The owner will be facing some health challenges and simply wont have time to give Tucker the attention he needs and deserves.

Bettas--reds and purples. Large number of Males and females. Not even 4 months old. Fed premium protein-rich betta flakes. Healthy. $2 each or $5 with a starter bowl.
Kenyi, Red Zebras, and Pseudotropheus Acei. These are cichlids. They're 1.25-2" in size and are $3-$5 each.
2 Jack Dempsey mated pairs $35 each pair.
Green terror 4"+. 1 available at $10. Have 3 but they don't all get along.
Adoption fees are firm unless you're needing a lot of them. Cash only.
Whisper filters $8-$10 each. Just need cartridges. All working beautifully. Just went with a different system for filtration.

Please help me find a new home for Baby. She is a stray that I'm helping give away. When I got her she was starving and looked awful. I've had her for a month and with food and affection she is now healthy and happy. She is very sweet and loves people. She also gets along great with my 2 dogs.
