Re: "Serious Auditions" on Music Row/THE SHOUTER! (Studios)

I am one of the drummers who was talented enough to be asked in for an audition, but I did not go because I asked "Sharon" a question over the phone when she called back and it angered her so badly that she told me to forget it and hung up on me. The question: How serious are you about hiring a full-time drummer? My reason for asking: the audition time I was assigned, 1:15 p.m. (I spoke with her for the first time at 10 a.m. that day), conflicted with another session I already had booked. If I am going to cancel a session, there had better be a pretty damn good reason, hence my desire to test the waters a bit. Any professional in this business should understand that. However, immediately after asking this question I was told how rude I was, shushed, and hung up on. 2 lessons learned:

1. These people, and indeed most people who type IN ALL CAPS, are ignorant and suck.

2. Anyone who names their studio "Next Big Hit" obviously has an ego problem.

Avoid this studio at all costs. I have already spread the word to several musician friends to boycott these fools. Nashville is a pretty small town. Somebody is about to learn that the hard way.
