The Accounting Assistant is responsible for administering and managing the payroll for a growing 120+ organization with multiple operating divisions, working both independently and in partnership with the accounting and HR teams. This is a hands-on position with opportunity for career advancement that requires approximately 50% of time allocated to day-to-day payroll administration; 50% to various accounting functions. Candidates will be experienced, self-motivated, team players with proven time-management skills, excellent with details, and a passion for working with people in a fast-paced, professional, fun, creative environment. Experience with 100+ employee operation and accounting experience a plus.

Job Requirements

 Minimum of two years experience in payroll administration and accounting 
<br>

Job Responsibilities 
<br>

1. Administer LIP payroll to include bi-weekly payroll, bonus payments, keeping track of benefit days, updating Paylink as needed, balancing bi-weekly payroll, generating payroll journal, and auditing quarterly payroll taxes and W-2s. 
<br>

<br>
2. Administer cj payroll to include bi-weekly payroll, bonus payments, keeping track of benefit days, updating Paylink as needed, balancing bi-weekly payroll, generating payroll journal, passing out paychecks, and auditing quarterly payroll taxes and W-2s. 
<br>

<br>
3. Manage attendance records (update of Outlook calendar) for all absences at cj. 
<br>

<br>
4. Garnishment administration for both cj & LIP. 
<br>

<br>
5. Reconcile and audit benefit bills to ensure accuracy of payments for BCBS, Unum, AFLAC & YMCA. 
<br>

<br>
6. Generate Wells Fargo contribution statement for both cj & LIP. 
<br>

<br>
7. Prepare information (financial data) for cj/Oasis employee reviews as needed (i.e. benefits, training, etc). 
<br>

<br>
8. Monthly audit of LIP reviews to ensure timely completion and pay raises. 
<br>

<br>
9. Audit all hourly employee hours monthly to ensure accurate status for benefits. 
<br>

<br>
10. Administer employee expense reimbursement check program monthly. 
<br>

<br>
11. Administer and audit Verizon cell phone program monthly. 
<br>

<br>
12. Prepare cj Training data quarterly. 
<br>

<br>
13. Administer employee parking card program to include updating/auditing Excel tracking, ordering new cards from building management, assisting employees with non-functioning cards, and deducting from payroll any lost cards. 
<br>

14. Assist Accounting Assistants with all billing to include Media billing (monthly) and Production billing (on-going). This will include media AP posting, generation of client invoices and mailing of bills to clients and will be as needed.
