Called a "pebble" finish, but the texture is more like fine sand.
Not a slick finish. Could easily be painted.
We bought this for our granddaughter, but
then found a white and brass one she liked better.
This one was never used.

We only bought the headboard, but with a low footboard (no rails) it retails for $339.
