THE ART AND CRAFT OF SCREENWRITING, an 8 week course covering the essentials of creating, writing and selling screenplays for film and TV, begins soon. Classes will meet one evening each week from 6 to 9 pm at Borders Books, Music and Movies, 2525 West End Ave., Nashville, on a weekday evening to be chosen by the students who register for the class.
In just 8 weeks The Art and Craft of Screenwriting will take you from creating a great story idea, developing your film plot and subplots, creating dimensional characters, writing scenes with effective dialogue, structuring your screenplay, and writing Acts 1, 2 and 3, to protecting your creative work, marketing your screenplay, and much more.
Classes are casual and comfortable and are kept small to allow for lots of interactivity and personal attention for your writing. You will have the opportunity to write scenes and cast others in the class to bring your writing to life. And you will get valuable critiques on your writing that will help you grow your writing skills.
The Art and Craft of Screenwriting will be taught by an award winning writer-producer from Hollywood, who has also taught this course at Belmont University.
