Antique Aluminum Fish and Ski Boat - $2200 (South Nashville)
14' Heavy Gauge, Aluminum Speed Boat Style (covered bow), titled as a 1957 StarCraft (could possibly be older). Even though we don't know the Manufacturer of boat, the name which was on the side was "Sportsman". It includes a 1959, Johnson 35hp Big Twin outboard engine with the desirable electric start. This setup is really a "One-of-a-Kind" Item.
Even though it is thick aluminum it is surprisingly light. The boat only weighs about 225 pounds, motor about 150 pounds and the trailer about 150 pounds. I can move it around the yard with a lawn tractor. I usually launch it with a Toyota Camry 4 cylinder or a Caravan.
Motor completely gone through (no one has ever worked on this engine before 2002 when I bought it) with the replacement of: plugs, wires, hoses, coil, points, condensers, impeller, and thermostat. The carburetor was also rebuilt.
Boat has been stripped and repainted with epoxy primer and polyurethane top coat.
New Tele-Flex steering including steering wheel and an extremely hard to find outboard engine adapter.
New electronics: ignition switch, choke switch and marine starter relay; battery and box; starter has also been serviced.
New upholstery.
New lights on trailer which has also been stripped and repainted.
Boat really flies with two people in it. Seating for 4 or more if kids. Very good for two fishing buddies. Cheap to run too!
